What we’re about

The Power of Ubuntu!!

Why We Serve....

Ubuntu--simply put means 'me we'

According to Archbishop Desmond Tutu a person possessing the essence of Ubuntu is generous, compassionate, and caring. She/He uses her/his strengths on behalf of others;sharing their worth and demonstrating openness and largeheartedness.

Inspired by Oprah Winfrey's Biggest Give and motivated by President Obama's call to service this group was founded in January 2009.

"Volunteering can be an exciting, growing, enjoyable experience. It is truly gratifying to serve a cause, practice one's ideals, work with people, solve problems, see benefits, and know one had a hand in them."
Harriet Naylor
