About us
Welcome Denver gamers! Waterbear Workshop is a family-owned board game design and publishing company based out of Denver, CO. We are founded on the principal that games are outlets for creativity, education, and community-engagement – as is the process of making them. As such, we work with local businesses to host events for gamers ranging from general play to playtesting new games. We are also excited to share our own line-up of games, the first of which is available on our web store. We love the JOURNEY of game making as much as the DESTINATION and believe both are equally valuable when it comes to bringing people together over art you can play.

Waterbear Workshop's Second Annual Indie Game Bazaar
We're hosting another Indie Game Bazaar! Come support local small businesses in the board game and tabletop industry! We've grown to a bigger venue at Edgewater Public Market, meaning we will have more vendors, more space for playing the games you purchase, and more fun all around!
The marketplace has plenty of food options, beverage options, and lots to do! Beyond the vendors in the event, there are plenty of vendors and activities in the building to check out. Anyone supporting any of our lovely vendors will be entered into a drawing for prizes provided by Stellar Factory!
While we aren't sponsoring any gameplay programming at the event, we encourage anyone to bring games to play, designs to playtest, or RPGs to GM! Grab a free table, set up a sign and have at it. That said, we do ask that you keep others in mind and relinquish space as it seems necessary.

Playtesting New Games and Free Play with Waterbear Workshop!
Barquentine Brewing, 5505 W. 20th Ave., Suite 178, Edgewater, CO, USWaterbear Workshop invites you to bring games you've made, games you love, or just a "can play" attitude to Barquentine Brewing the 3rd Sunday of every month from 4:00 - 7:00pm!
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Playtesting - Waterbear Workshop will be bringing a handful of games for playtesting at various stages of development and design. We encourage any budding or seasoned designers to bring theirs!
- Free Play - We also have an embarrassingly large game collection that we'll bring different selections from. Feel free to bring your own too!
- Snacks and Such - Barquentine Brewing has an excellent selection of beverage options. Edgewater Public Market has a wide variety of food options that you are more than welcome to bring into the brewery.
WHY PLAYTEST?
- Help out some local designers in need of cannon fodder.
- Have a chance to point at a game for sale and say - I was there when they first heard that game was a terrible idea.
- Be the change you want to see in a game!

Zymos Brewing, 5180 S Lowell Blvd, Littleton, CO, USWaterbear Workshop invites you to bring games you've made, games you love, or just a "can play" attitude to Zymos Brewing the 4th Sunday of every month from 4:00 - 7:00pm!
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Playtesting - Waterbear Workshop will be bringing a handful of games for playtesting at various stages of development and design. We encourage any budding or seasoned designers to bring theirs!
- Free Play - We also have an embarrassingly large game collection that we'll bring different selections from. Feel free to bring your own too!
- Snacks and Such - Zymos Brewing has an excellent selection of beers, seltzers, and non-alcoholic options. They also have a small selection of snacks. If you would like something more substantial, Walter's 303 is right next door and you are more than welcome to bring food into the brewery.
