With the increasing reliance on cloud services for storing and processing sensitive data, it is more important than ever to have robust security measures in place. Modern systems are distributed by nature and have tons of dependencies. Aggregating, analysing and visualising logs and noteworthy security events from different services operating across multiple accounts and regions can be overwhelming. In this talk, Zohaib will discuss Fund Recs’s approach to implementing Security Information and Event Management using Elastic Cloud. He will also discuss the mistakes made and lessons learned while going through the process.

Tech Talk: Event Camera: A shift towards next-generation performance and efficiency for computer vision.

An event camera is also known as a neuromorphic camera, silicon retina, or dynamic vision sensor. Event Cameras are the cameras triggered by changes in brightness within the frame. These cameras offer attractive properties compared to traditional cameras: high temporal resolution, very high dynamic range, low power consumption, and high pixel bandwidth resulting in reduced motion blur. Hence, event cameras have a large potential for robotics and computer vision. We will look into the introduction of the Event Camera, its working principle, and a few real-world applications.
