Our next meetup will be on Tuesday, 14th of March at 7pm in Waterford Treasures Museum (X91 K10E). Please join us for food, drinks, spot prizes and two fantastic tech talks.

Speaker 1: Ronan O'Keeffe from distilled.ie

Tech Talk: Distilled's adoption of Terraform (with a curve ball thrown in).

Distilled's various brands have been operating anywhere from between one and twenty five years in the Irish webspace. When the companies DoneDeal, Daft and Adverts merged, a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team was established out of the separate ops teams. This talk will:

  • outline the SRE team's journey from it's infancy to the present day,
  • detail their adoption of Terraform,
  • walk through their current Terraform workflow,
  • describe the infrastructure they built for distilled's newest brand.
