Golcar & Slawit Circular

The walk

Carole & Peter are leading this 8 mile circular walk, we start the walk with a downhill towards Golcar, then down a ginnel to The Huddersfield Narrow Canal and will follow this to Slathwaite, passing through the village we will walk uphill towards Cop Hill, good views of The Colne Valley. we will then take the pack horse trail towards Pole Moor and then head back to The Scape House Inn and a well earned beer!

The distance is 8 miles.
Meeting:
Usually, we gather from 10.00 to 10.15 to start the walk at 10.30 from the Meeting Place and are circular unless otherwise indicated.

Note:
Walking boots, waterproofs and a packed lunch are required.
We do not allow dogs as we go through many farmer's fields with livestock.
As well as the Meetup members shown we also have members of BSW and CHA making a group of 6 to 16

Fees
New membership for 2025 is £10 or £18 for a couple for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups. For anyone who is not an annual member, we ask for a £1 donation toward our admin and insurance costs.
