Brighouse Excursion

The route mainly follows the Brighouse Boundary Walk, taking in Elland Upper Edge, Toothill, Bradley Wood, Woodhouse, then back along the canal from Brighouse to Cromwell Bottom. The route consists of woodland paths, tracks, quiet roads and the towpath on the Canal. There are extensive views from Elland Upper Edge with a total ascent of 755ft.

The distance is 8 miles.

All walks are circular, unless stated.
Meeting:
We usually gather around 10.15 to start the walk promptly at 10.30.
NB:
Walking boots, waterproofs, a packed lunch and drinks are required.
We do not allow dogs on our walks as we often go through farmer's fields with livestock.

In addition to the Meetup members shown, we have members of BSW and CHA attending walks , making a group of between 6 to 16 walkers.
Fees:
New membership fees for 2025 are £10 for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups.
For non-members, we ask for a £1 donation on each walk towards our admin and insurance costs.
