West Nab and the Catch.

Meeting and Start Point:
Morrisons car park, Station Street, Meltham. HD9 5QR

Meet at 10:20 for 10:30 start.
Cafe and toilets at the start/finish.

The Walk:
After a short section on roads, the route follows good tracks, paths and open moorland to West Nab, a climb of 300 Metres in 2 1/2 miles. Then, a short boggy section, the route descends on good paths to The Catch, a long aqueduct collecting water for Deer Hill Reservoir. The route follows The Catch by a good but narrow path, before descending to Meltham via tracks and a short road section. Total: about 8.5 miles, easy walking after the initial long climb.

Should weather prove a little inclement then a shorter more sheltered alternative will be discussed at the start to ensure all are still able to enjoy this area.
