"To the Abbey & Forge. A Linear walk.

Walk Distance: 4.5 Miles
All walks are circular unless otherwise stated.
To the Abbey & Forge.

A Linear walk from Leeds to Kirkstall.
Mainly canal walking with a diversion to the Abbey then on to Kirkstall Forge.

Meeting Point:
Inside the ticket barriers (platform side) in Leeds station. We will then cross over the platforms to take the Granary Wharfe exit from Leeds Station. LS1.

Travel Details:
10.30am Leeds train from Forster Square station (Kirkstall Forge at 10.47am.)

Park at either Forster Square (or Kirkstall Forge 150 spaces only & buy a single to Leeds).
Finish at Kirkstall, trains back to Bfd every 30 mins.

Note:
Do not try to contact the group by Meetup on the day of the walk as we do not have the tech to monitor or reply.
Walking boots, waterproofs and a packed lunch are required.
We do not allow dogs as we go through many farmer's fields with livestock.
As well as the Meetup members shown we also have members of BSW and CHA making a group of 10 to 15 each week.
Fees
New membership for 2025 is £10 for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups. For anyone who is not an annual member, we ask for a £1 donation toward our admin and insurance costs.
Please pay the Walk or Group leader on the day.
