Brighouse and around

Walk Distance: 5 Miles
All walks are circular unless otherwise stated.
As usual the walk will include a number of different surfaces. We start along the canal before taking the road uphill to the woods alongside Raistric. At the end of the woods we are back on a road down the hill before ending up on the river bank which we follow to the canal. This takes us back to Brighouse.
Meeting Point:
By the canal Bridge, Huddersfield Rd. Next to the bus stop by Sainsburys.

Travel Details:
10.32am X63 Huddersfield Bus from Braford Interchange.

Note:
Do not try to contact the group by Meetup on the day of the walk as we do not have the tech to monitor or reply.
Walking boots, waterproofs and a packed lunch are required.
We do not allow dogs as we go through many farmer's fields with livestock.
As well as the Meetup members shown we also have members of BSW and CHA making a group of 10 to 15 each week.
Fees
New membership for 2026 is £10 for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups. For anyone who is not an annual member, we ask for a £1 donation toward our admin and insurance costs.
Please pay the Walk or Group leader on the day.
