This walk takes you past the hamlet of Stead and across Ben Rhydding Golf Course to the Cow and Calf rocks before turning back towards Burley via the edge of Ilkley and Burley moors. There are fine views across the Wharfe valley. .Beamsley Beacon and Almscliffe crag are clearly visible

The distance is 7.3 miles.

All walks are circular, unless stated.
Meeting:
We usually gather around 10.15 to start the walk promptly at 10.30.
NB:
Walking boots, waterproofs, a packed lunch and drinks are required.
We do not allow dogs on our walks as we often go through farmer's fields with livestock.

In addition to the Meetup members shown, we have members of BSW and CHA attending walks , making a group of between 6 to 16 walkers.
Fees:
New membership fees for 2025 are £10 for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups.
For non-members, we ask for a £1 donation on each walk towards our admin and insurance costs.
Please pay the Walk leader on the day.
