Thornton Denholme Circular

From the Junction of Hill Top Road/Half Acre Road, we will walk to Denholme Clough. Up Black Edge Lane to Sawood, passing Thornton Moor and Stubden reservoirs. Over the moor to Denholme Edge, then back down into Denholme. From here we will walk down to Doe Park Reservoir and back up through the woods and Ten Yards Lane to Moscow, returning to the start point along Half Acre Road.

The distance is 7 miles.

All walks are circular, unless stated.
Meeting:
We usually gather around 10.15 to start the walk promptly at 10.30.
NB:
Walking boots, waterproofs, a packed lunch and drinks are required.
We do not allow dogs on our walks as we often go through farmer's fields with livestock.

In addition to the Meetup members shown, we have members of BSW and CHA attending walks , making a group of between 6 to 16 walkers.
Fees:
New membership fees for 2025 are £10 for 100's of walks with any of our 6 mid-week groups.
For non-members, we ask for a £1 donation on each walk towards our admin and insurance costs.
