21/5/26 – Keswick, Cumbria - 3 walks:
8.5 mile walk again led by Bob Appleyard. Coach to drop us off near Threlkeld and a lovely walk to Keswick beneath Blencathra.
5-mile walk led by Ian Cartwright (details to follow).
Short circular walk around Keswick, led by Sue & Lynn.
Coach (with WC) travel provided by JAK Travel, Riddlesden, Keighley.

Coach (with WC) travel provided by JAK Travel, Riddlesden, Keighley. For the Richmond trip, pickups will be at the JAK depot at 8.00 am, Saltaire at 8.15 am and Bradford at 8.30 am. The return will be at 5.30 pm.
The cost for each trip will be £20 per person, and you can book your place by contacting Verner Wheelock or your social committee member on your walks.

Celebration Lunch:

We hope you will join us for this celebration of all things good with the midweek wayfarers, on Friday, 8th May 2026, at Shipley Golf Club, 12 noon for 12.30. The cost is £25 per person for a 2-course lunch (menu to follow), payable in advance.

We'd also like you to give your nominations for best walk, best day out, best picture, booby prize/fun (e.g. the wettest or muddiest, or most spectacular fall/recovery), outstanding contribution to the organisation and a special award nominated by members. The Nomination Forms can be obtained from Verner Wheelock and need to be submitted by the end of March. Or you can download the form here

Summer Evening Walk:
This will take place on Wednesday, 3rd June, and we'll meet at Shipley Golf Club for 4 pm for a 3–4-mile walk, heading back for 6 pm with Pie & Peas (+ chips, gravy and mint sauce) being served at 6.30 pm. The cost is £11 per person. Please let us know of your interest in this event and whether you want a meat or vegetarian pie.

Arnside Holiday:

A reminder to book your place on this lovely and popular walking holiday in Arnside, which takes place on the 3rd October 2026 at the Parkside Guesthouse in Arnside. The price is an excellent £495 per person fully inclusive of bed & breakfast, evening meal and a packed lunch. There is no single supplement.
If you would like to come for less than a week, this is possible, but only if you are prepared to share a room. The cost for 3 days is £250 per person, or pro rata for other periods. Please enquire to obtain the exact price.
