Tarns, Quarries, Follies, False Teeth and Fishponds
Details
The Walk:
Martin will be leading this 9 mile circular walk, parking at the car park opposite Yorke Follies, on Nought Bank Road.
We walk from the Follies car park down to Glasshouses and walk the disused railway line into Pateley Bridge. . Climb half way up the opposite ridge above PB via the old parish church with the grave stone of a 120 year old local lady (there is hope for us all!) towards the quarries below Silver Hill, then on to Wath before trekking into Pateley and back to our cars via Fishpond’s Wood, False Tooth Bridge and Skrikes Wood.
Hot drinks and home baked cakes await those who want them at Martin’s house, just a mild down the road from the car park. (Dodd Hill Farm, Dike Lane, HG3 4EY W3W: ///embraced.wizards.raven
