가장 최근에 가위와 풀을 써본 게 언제인가요?

종이를 자르고, 찢고, 풀로 붙이는 기본적인 행위는 우리가 생각을 내려놓고 현재에 집중할 수 있는 기회가 되기도 합니다. 오늘은 ‘꼴라주’ 작업을 통해 자기 자신을 표현해보도록 하겠습니다.

우리의 몸은 살아온 역사와 기억이 고스란히 물리적으로 축적된 장소입니다. 감각이 기억하는 나는 어떤 모습일까요? 자신의 에너지 지도가 될 수도 있고, 의식의 표면이나 무의식의 심연이 될 수도 있을 거예요. 사람들이 보는 나이기도 하고, 내가 보는 나일 수도 있고요. 다양한 이미지 꼴라주를 통해 ‘오늘 현재를 살아가는 나’를 표현해보아요.

우선, 다양한 이미지가 있는 잡지나 프린트된 이미지 자료를 최대한 많이 가져오세요. 디지털 꼴라주가 아니라 직접 손으로 오려서 찢고 붙이는 작업을 할 거예요. A4~A3 사이즈 종이에다가 여러 이미지를 공유하면서 작업할 거예요. 다 완성한 후에는 자신이 작업한 꼴라주를 통해 자신이 바라보는 자신의 현재를 프리젠테이션 하도록 하겠습니다.

When was the last time you used scissors and glue?

The simple act of cutting, tearing, and gluing paper can become an opportunity to let go of our thoughts and focus on the present moment. Today, we will express ourselves through collage.

Our bodies are places where the histories and memories we have lived through are physically accumulated. What does the “I” remembered by the senses look like? It might become a map of your energy, the surface of your consciousness, or the depths of your unconscious. It could be the self that others see, or the self that you see. Through collage with various images, let’s express “the self living in the present today.”

First, please bring as many magazines or printed image materials as possible. We won’t be making digital collages; instead, we’ll be cutting, tearing, and gluing by hand. We’ll share various images and work on paper between A4 and A3 size. After everyone has finished, each person will present their collage and talk about the present self they see through their work.

Materials to bring
A4–A3 sketchbook, magazines or printed image materials, scissors, glue and whatever materials you’re comfortable with.
