Austin English Country Dancing (Get your Regency Dance On!)

Details

On Bastille Day (July 14th, 7:30-9:30pm), we'll dance French or French-themed dances to live music by Rowena Caldwell, John Hunt and Joel Hobbs. (English country dancing (contredance angalise) was all the rage among the French middle class in the early eighteenth century.)

There will be no newcomers' session at this dance. To maximize our time dancing to live music, teaching will be minimal. We'll be practicing the more challenging dances at our regular Monday evening dance on July 7.
You don’t need to come with a partner, and admission is $5. It’s a welcoming group that always has fun.**
