Want to volunteer in your community and make some great friends along the way? Whether you are new to the city or just want to expand your network, this is the group for you!
We Serve Austin is designed for busy Austin-area folks in their 20s and 30s who: a) want to meet other friends who share their passion for volunteering; b) go out and perform a variety of community service projects in the Austin area; and c) get together to socialize both after projects and occasionally during the month.
We try to keep a good balance between recurring and one-time projects, usually on weeknights or weekends outside of regular work schedules. And save some time after each event - we tend to go out for food and drinks afterwards

Austin Wildlife Rescue Volunteering
Austin Wildlife Rescue Rehab Facility - Elgin, 111 Elbow Bend, Elgin, TX, USWe're going back to Austin Wildlife Rescue.
Impact: Help AWR keep habitats clean so rehabbed animals can return to the wild faster.
What we'll do: Deep clean habitat rooms, cages, and support areas (no direct animal handling as they are wild creatures!). They might have some other random tasks for us to complete that help them keep their facilities running and functional. A facility tour after volunteering will be given.
Logistics: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at the Rehab Facility (Elgin/Bastrop, ~30 min east of ATX). Often we finish all their tasks within 2 hours and end at 12pm but plan to stay a little later if they have a lot for us to do.
Wear/bring: Clothes you can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, water.
Afterwards: Optional group lunch on the way back.
