Center For Child Protection

I volunteered here once before and have been wanting to bring our group since. With everything in the news lately, I wanted to channel that energy into something local and tangible.

Impact: The Center for Child Protection is Travis County's only nonprofit involved in investigating crimes against children. They provide free forensic interviews, therapy, and medical care to kids and families. Our activity supports the families going through their programs. Small things that make a hard time a little brighter.

What we'll do: We'll likely be doing some arts & crafts for the kids:

1. Creating noise makers for an upcoming fun run
2. Decorating tote bags that kids receive when visiting the center. (they get to pick out gifts in a room and carry the gifts out in this tote bag)

Afterwards: For those interested, we can grab lunch nearby!
