Do you enjoy such performances? Or are you looking to learn more about them, but don't have people in your life who share the interest (why do you think I made this group)? Were you a theater kid in high school? Do you think Shakespeare is a little confusing but sounds cool when spoken? Then you're in the right place.
There are meetups for books, for movies, and really broad ones for socializing, but I didn't see one that focused on performing arts, so here we are. My intent is to add events for plays, musicals, classical performances, maybe some opera and - if there is interest - ballet, etc. I'll probably start with stuff I personally enjoy and go from there.
And it's a meetup, so I want to make it a social experience (stop talking during the show!). So we'll do dinner outings, or coffee and dessert after a show, or hey maybe some table readings of Romeo and Juliet because reading Shakespeare straight through is a slog. I'm always open to suggestions. The whole point of a group like this is to meet like-minded people. So welcome!
