Hi all,

We invite you to join us at Newburgh Creates at 6 pm for the Hudson Valley's Tech Community Meetup, an open meeting for anyone in our community or is interested in technology. We'll explore the latest AI trends and tech career development opportunities, followed by networking with everyone.

Speakers confirmed:

  • Jon "GainSec" Gaines will give a talk: Bird Hunting Season: How I Hacked Flock Safety's License Plate Readers. Abstract: A compact crash course in hardware and embedded-system security framed around my recently published research into Flock Safety’s license plate readers. Begins with hardware/embedded/IoT penetration-testing methodology, prerequisites, and researcher mindset; then presents a high level attack surface analysis, observed firmware and bootloader weaknesses, root causes, and real world impact, concluding with practical, nonactionable mitigations and responsible disclosure guidance.

We welcome you to give a lightning talk, or share your professional achievements, tips and tricks.

Local tech professionals get-together in person on a monthly basis, alternating local municipalities. All these smaller size meet ups culminate with the two-day professional developers conference, DevFest Troy on October 31st and November 1st. We will provide more details about this event as we move forward.

Ongoing 2025 call for speakers is available for your submission. Feel free to add as many talks as interested. These talks will be considered for our community meetups and can lead to your speakers engagement with our DevFest this Fall.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.
