Base/Tone/Slap: The sound of the Djembe, West African Drum. Class presented by Susan Danos, Founding Mother of SisterBeat, a New Orleans women's percussion group. Drumming can be therapeutic, exhilarating and totally absorbing alone or in a group. This class will present instruction in basic hand patterns that will enhance your skills and allow you to continue on your drum journey.
