Slow Stitch Embroidered Patchwork workshop in Tucson

Details
During this unusual autumn season, we likely feel we want to stitch the pieces of our lives in a kind way. Using Victorian crazy patchwork techniques we will be making a circular 9 inch patchwork round that can be used as a top for a singing bowl pillow, or made into a hat, or even incorporated into an alter cloth. Bring any favorite fabrics, and or embellishments, such as beads, tassles , etc. Embroidery thread, base, and fabrics will be available for all.
Slow stitching is a new term for an age-old practice of quiet gentle making, mending and stitching. To slow stitch is to take the time to mindfully create or recreate something personal through stitching with needle and thread.
Donation for this creative event is sliding scale $10-$30 and you will take home the round you make. Donations can be made in cash, venmo, paypal or debit card.
Your guide is Tahlia, a slow stitcher and Animist artist for many decades. Quynn is Tahlia's helper and is happy for this opportunity to hand sew personal power tools.
Location: Our suite is B-140 in Old Adobe Office Park, right behind The Girls Estate Sales off of Wilmot.
