Oracle of the Elder Circle in Tucson

Details
In this community circle we honor the Elder tree, their flowers and berries have been helpful to humans for many generations. In many folklore traditions, Elder trees are seen as protective, warding off unhelpful spirits. The plant's ability to sprout from damaged boughs and root from cuttings symbolizes regeneration. This tree is favored by birds and small mammals. The flowers are nourishing to the bees. Elderberries have been utilized in traditional folk medicine for thousands of years. In Ogham divination, elder is tied to Venus and the element of water, often associated with transformation, regeneration, and fate.
The tree shown in the image above was grown by Jacob/Hawko, in Tucson, AZ. Jacob will share Elder flower tea and Elder branches to take home for wand making.
Since the Elder tree has a reputation as a good listener and advisor to those who honor it, we will listen for the messages from the Elder tree, as well as the wise Elder within ourselves (no matter how "old" we are).
Through divination, sharing, communing with parts of the Elder tree, and collective rhythm making, we can tune in to the Oracle's wisdom within.
Donations accepted. Bring a rhythm maker if you have one. We have some to share.
