Voyage to the Jaanga oSome Globe
Theo Armour
Open Street Map and Google Maps are wonderful tools..
But the earth is a globe covered with bumps and dips / mountains and oceans.
And the earth is replete with people and things moving and changing.
Using Three.js, Theo will run through the tips and tricks he uses to create interactive 3D globes with the 'traditional' 18 zoom levels plus 3D topology plus whatever data import goodies he finishes in time.
BTW, the app is 100% client-based and hosted on & running from GitHub.
