LETS DRAW ON AN AMAZING ERA
The 1960s stands out as a transformative decade in global history, defined by a surge of cultural, political, and social movements. Today, it feels like we might be on the brink of a similar era—a new renaissance of creativity and cultural expression. In the '60s, alongside civil rights and women’s rights movements, there were rebellions, anti-war protests, and the flourishing of the Age of Aquarius, Beatlemania, and messages of universal love.
Today, we see a parallel explosion of creativity, with artists reclaiming their voices across art, poetry, music, writing, and storytelling. It’s a moment where creators are stepping into their rightful place in history, echoing the era that was sparked by artists, musicians, and filmmakers in the 1960s—ushering in change.
Join me for a night inspired by that era, featuring live gesture drawing with model Daniella Traub, music by The Beatles, and a glimpse into 1960s fashion by Art Center’s expert, Justine Limpus Parish.
