This book club was originally set up to discuss stories that took about an hour to read. But lately (as of July 2025) we've been straying from that brief... š¬
Still, every meeting we'll be discussing a different story by a different author.
The group is free to join, and the meetings are hosted online via a videoconferencing platform (e.g. Google Meet).
When you sign up, we'll ask you a question or two to make sure you're a decent human being and not a bot. By joining, you agree to the following:
1. If I RSVP then I will turn up, or Iāll let you know my plans have changed by changing my RSVP to 'No'.
2. If I am transphobic, homophobic, sexist, ableist, racist ... I will keep my hate to myself.
3. I will not message group members privately if I don't know them: it's creepy.
4. I will not use online meetings to indecently expose myself. (Shouldn't need saying, and yet...)
5. I will express my views honestly but with kindness and consideration for the views of others.
