Weekend Getaways Crew
Life is better when you have people to text on a Tuesday and travel with on a Friday!
This group is for adults in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who want to escape town every now and then, explore Northern California (and beyond), and build genuine friendships along the way.
Think cozy cabins, hot springs, lakes, mountain towns, beaches, unique Airbnbs, scenic hikes, breweries, wineries, concerts, quirky roadside attractions, and spontaneous adventures.
Our trips are intentionally low-pressure. You won't find jam-packed itineraries or mandatory activities. Instead, we'll rent a fun place together, explore during the day, share meals, play games, laugh late into the night, and create the kinds of memories that become inside jokes years later.
Some weekends might include:
🏡 A-frame cabins, treehouses, yurts, domes, tiny homes, or other unique stays
♨️ Hot springs and spa days
🥾 Scenic hikes and waterfall adventures
🚣 Kayaking, floating rivers, or lake days
🍺 Local breweries, wineries, and great restaurants
🎶 Live music and festivals
🌅 Sunrise coffee, sunset walks, and slow mornings
🎲 Board games, card games, campfires, and meaningful conversations
Most trips will be Friday evening through Sunday morning, making it easier to join without taking time off work. We'll usually keep groups small (around 4–12 people) so everyone actually gets to know each other.
One of my biggest goals for this group is to make weekend travel feel accessible. I know life can get expensive, and many organized group trips cost thousands of dollars. By sharing accommodations and keeping things simple, I'll aim to keep the lodging portion of most of our trips around $100–$250 per person for a typical 2–3 night weekend. (Food, drinks, gas, activity costs, and any driver tips would be additional.) My hope is that more people can say "yes" to adventure without breaking the bank.
To help keep costs low, sleeping arrangements will vary from trip to trip. Sometimes everyone will have their own bedroom and bed, while other times I'll ask who is comfortable sharing a bed, taking the couch, or bringing an air mattress. I'll always be transparent about the accommodations before anyone commits, and participation is completely optional.
This isn't a luxury travel club, and it isn't a dating group. It's about finding adventurous, kind, reliable people who enjoy saying "yes" to memorable weekends.
Whether you're new to the area, looking to expand your circle, or simply wishing you had a group that says, "Let's rent a cabin next month," you've found your people.
Adventure is better when it's shared!
PS: Please take your time answering the application questions! Because we're building a real community (not just filling seats on trips), I ask everyone to answer the application questions thoughtfully. I read every response, and taking a few minutes to share a little about yourself helps me get a sense of who you are and whether this group is the right fit. There are no "right" answers—I simply appreciate genuine, thoughtful responses. Thank you in advance!
