ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us at Carbon Canyon Regional Park on Saturday, April 18th @ 10:00 AM for a hike to see and enjoy the largest grove of redwood trees in Southern California. The trees cover three acres. This will be a level dirt trail 3-mile loop hike. Guests and doggies are welcome (dogs but must be on a leash).

PARK LOCATION, DIRECTIONS AND PARKING
Carbon Canyon Regional Park
4442 Carbon Canyon Rd · Brea, CA
Directions: From the 57 freeway you can exit Lambert Road and turn right. Continue traveling East and Lambert eventually turns into Carbon Canyon Road. The park entrance is located at the stoplight intersection of East Santa Fe Road and Carbon Canyon Road, on the south side. After entering the park, turn right and park in Lot C or make an additional left turn and park in Lot B. The hike starts at the entrance to Lot B. Entrance Fee: If you don't have an annual parking pass, the cost to park inside the park is $5 on the weekend. Annual Pass: The annual parking pass is $55 and is good at all of Orange County’s regional parks. The senior rate, age 60+, is $35. You can purchase a pass online at https://www.ocparks.com/annualpass or in person at any Orange County regional park (M-F, 8AM-12PM, 1PM-4PM). If you purchase it online, it will take 2 weeks to arrive. To get it immediately, stop by a regional park daytime Mon - Fri.

ABOUT CARBON CANYON REGIONAL PARK: This park lies upstream of the Carbon Canyon Dam. Sixty of its 124 acres are developed, offering grassy areas for picnicking, sports facilities, and a 4-acre lake with two piers for fishing. The undeveloped area features a trail that leads to its crown jewel, three acres of majestic Coastal Redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens). This is the only grove of redwoods in Orange County.
