Details

🎬🧶 Virtual Trauma Survivor Movie & Craft Night
Featuring: Wild (2014) starring Reese Witherspoon

Join us for a gentle evening of connection, creativity, and reflection as we gather virtually to watch Wild—a powerful film based on Cheryl Strayed’s memoir about grief, healing, and solo transformation on the Pacific Crest Trail.
While watching, we’ll each engage in individual crafts of our choice: coloring, crocheting, building with Legos, journaling, or any activity that feels grounding and expressive.

⚠️ Content Note:
Wild includes themes of trauma, grief, loss, addiction, and emotional pain. It also contains scenes of nudity. It may be triggering for some. We will hold space with care, and a supportive environment will be available throughout the event. You are free to step away, mute, or turn off your camera at any time.

🤝 Community Guidelines & Respect
This gathering is built on mutual respect, emotional safety, and creative expression. All participants are expected to treat the film, one another, and each other’s crafts with kindness and care. This includes:

  • Refraining from dismissive comments
  • Honoring the vulnerability that may arise during the movie or reflection
  • Respecting each person’s chosen form of creative expression

Anyone who engages in disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful behavior will be removed from the session to protect the integrity of the space.

🌀 What to Expect:

  • A brief welcome and grounding
  • Movie screening with optional chat support
  • Crafting throughout the film
  • Post-movie reflection circle
  • Optional “show & tell” to share your creations or insights

This is a space for survivors to be exactly as they are—no pressure, no performance, just presence. Come as you are, bring what you need, and let’s create together.
