Virtual Trauma Survivor Movie and Craft Night
Details
## Virtual Movie & Crafting Night: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
A gentle, creative space for trauma survivors to explore memory, identity, and healing through film and artmaking.
Join us for a virtual community gathering where we’ll watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind together while crafting and taking intentional pauses to check in. This night is designed to be low‑pressure, choice‑centered, and supportive for anyone navigating trauma recovery, relational wounds, or identity rebuilding.
### Content & Trigger Warnings
This film includes themes that may be activating for some viewers, including:
- Emotional abuse, relational rupture, and painful breakups
- Memory loss, identity confusion, and dissociation‑like experiences
- Depression, loneliness, and emotional overwhelm
- Substance use and moments of self‑destructive behavior
You are welcome to care for yourself in whatever way feels right. Cameras on or off, stepping away, muting, crafting without watching, or leaving early are all completely okay. You never need to explain your boundaries.
### What the Night Will Look Like
- Craft‑Along Viewing: Bring any craft that feels grounding—drawing, knitting, painting, collage, clay, beadwork, or something simple and repetitive. There is no expectation to finish anything; the goal is comfort and regulation.
- Two Pause Points: We’ll take two intentional breaks during the movie to breathe, check in, and optionally share thoughts or reactions. Participation is always optional.
- Closing Reflection Circle: After the film, we’ll gather for an open conversation about what felt most impactful, resonant, or meaningful. Participants are welcome to share their completed or in‑progress crafts if they’d like.
### Tone & Safety
This space centers gentleness, autonomy, and emotional safety. You’re invited to show up exactly as you are, participate at your own pace, and connect in whatever way feels supportive.
