WELLINGTON TESTERS
Welcome to Wellington Testers meetup.
Wellington Testers is a safe environment and a platform to bring the Wellington testing community together and learn from each other. We encourage everyone who is interested in making better software products to come along and participate.
We are also super keen to meet new people who are curious to know about testing even if they don't belong to the IT industry.

Wellington Testing Meetups - Impact of AI on Skills and Career
Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), 15 Stout Street, Wellington, Wellington, NZHey there to our wonderful Wellington Testing Community. Our meetup activity is back!!! Kicking off with our first event on Wednesday 16th September at 4:30pm. Bucking the trend a little bit our plan is to focus on the people side of AI in Testing Delivery - looking at the topic of what does AI in Testing Delivery mean for our skillsets, our future training areas and our career prospects?
On 16th September 2026 we have the pleasure of four speakers at our event. All will talk about what they and their teams are currently doing with AI in the delivery of testing, and what they are looking to implement by way of AI in testing delivery over the soon timeframe. Armed with that, our focus will switch to discussing what does that mean for the testing community in terms of skills development, certifications, training and career prospects. What should be your personal development plan for 2027 and beyond?
Our speakers will be:- Pramod Gupta - Manager Systems Assurance, Ministry of Primary Industry
- Dmitri Severinov - Test Manager, Health New Zealand
- Louise Royden - Test Practice Lead, Medical Assurance Society
- Preethi Rajendran - Platform Capability Lead, Delivery Assurance Platform, Ministry of Social Development
