The Mind You Don't See
presented by Christine Francoeur
November 19, 2026

We all develop patterns of thinking, feeling and responding that help us move through the world. Many of these patterns become qualities we value and even celebrate in ourselves—being driven, caring, analytical, responsible, sensitive or decisive. They can contribute to our success, shape our relationships and become part of how we understand who we are. But when these familiar ways of operating happen outside our awareness, the very qualities that serve us may also limit us. For example - decisiveness can become rigidity, sensitivity can become overwhelm, analysis can become rumination, and responsibility can become taking on more than is ours to carry.

Mindfulness gives us an opportunity to become more familiar with the mind operating within these patterns. With loving awareness, we recognize when a familiar pattern is serving the moment—and when it isn't.
