Wellness 50+ Twin Cities

Join us for a bike ride on the Washington County Park Hardwood Creek Regional Trail. Hardwood Creek Trail is a flat 9.5 mile multi-use trail in northwestern Washington County, in the cities of Hugo and Forest Lake. It is an out and back ride with an option to turn around for a shorter ride.

Bring your bike, helmet, snack and water bottle.

Please arrive in time to unload and prepare your bike for a 10 am start.

NOTE: This event is for bringing your own kayak (cost $10). If you do not have a kayak and would like to rent one (cost $30), please see the separate Meetup event for the same day and time.

Kerri Kolstad of Wahoo Adventures will lead us on a paddle on Little Falls Lake and enjoy a lake paddle until we reach the Willow River. We will paddle upstream as the river narrows. Just before the falls, we will pull our kayaks ashore and then hike the last 100 feet to the bridge and enjoy views of the falls before our return trip back to the beach.

Wahoo Adventures will provide the guide for the event.

Bring your kayak/paddle/life jacket, sunscreen, a water bottle and a snack. Wear clothing that can get wet and sturdy water shoes you can hike in.

You will need a non-resident Wisconsin Park annual or daily pass ($16) for entrance. If you would like to carpool, please post a message on the event.

Cancellation
The event may be cancelled if weather conditions prevent safe kayaking. Any cancellation will be sent through Meetup. Refunds will be made if cancellation is weather related or if there are less than 8 rentals.
