3rd Mon- Aug 2025 Kayaking Interstate Park to Osceola- Rent a Kayak

NOTE: Due to the transportation needed for this paddle, the only option will be kayak rental on this event (cost $30 plus fees).

Kerri Kolstad of Wahoo Adventures will lead us on a St. Croix River paddle from Interstate Park in Wisconsin to Osceola Landing in Shafer MN. We will meet at Osceola Landing at 9 am, consolidate vehicles with our gear, leaving your car at the Landing. At 9:20 we will travel to Interstate Park in Wisconsin with the kayaks.

At 10 am we will depart for a beautiful two hour downstream paddle back to Osceola. We will view the Native American Petroglyphs, a heron rookery and the small town of Franconia along the way. Optional lunch in Osceola for those interested.

We are looking for a volunteer to drive Kerri, Dave and Deb back to Interstate Park to pick up their vehicles. If the event is full we may need a third driver to transport people to Interstate Park and leave their car. If you have a Wisconsin State Park Pass or a National Park Pass, and are willing to drive, please message in the event.

Wahoo Adventures will provide a kayak, paddle and life jacket.

Bring sunscreen, a water bottle and a snack (in a waterproof bag). Wear clothing and shoes that can get wet.

Cancellation
The event may be cancelled if weather conditions prevent safe or comfortable kayaking. Any cancellation will be sent through Meetup. Refunds will be made if cancellation is weather related or if there are less than 8 rentals.
