This group hopes to encourage community conversations, sharing and reflection on topics of mental and physical well being.
There are so many incredible talks, courses & video resources easily available to us, thanks to the internet! But how often do we take the time to fully listen and absorb what we’re learning, share thoughts about it with likeminded people and even practice together? In this group, we’ll pick interesting talks online and get together to do just that!
In each meeting we’ll get introduced to each other, listen to parts of a thought provoking talk and stop multiple times for a group discussion or practice. It’s a great way to learn, heal and grow, while meeting new people!
All our meetups will be online on Zoom and in English.
About me:
I’m a software engineer and I’m passionate about hosting support groups around topics of health and wellbeing. Having gone through several health challenges over many years, I am deeply interested in lifestyle based self-care methods for good health and wellbeing.
Since 2021, I have hosted several support groups around topics I really care about (example). I eventually hope to create a vibrant community with support and learning groups around various important topics (like coping with chronic pain, building new habits, dealing with depression, practicing mindfulness etc.), led by volunteers who strongly care about the topic and leveraging excellent resources created by experts on that subject.
I hope that this work will help me heal my own trauma and remember these experiences as something that helped many of us learn and grow. I’ve named this project “Wellness Seedlings” :)
