What we’re about
Depression and anxiety can result in silent suffering. Sharing with family or friends doesn't always help because they cannot relate. This group gives you a place to get support from people who understand because they share the same suffering.
Overview:
This group provides a safe and supportive environment for people to connect and share experiences, strength, hope, and offer mutual support. It is a sanctuary where members can be authentic, free from judgment, and receive encouragement and understanding from others who can relate to their struggles.
Typical Meeting:
You can share or just listen in peace with your camera on or off.
If you decide to share, here are the three steps we generally follow:
Step 1
Share your Suffering
OR
Share a therapy that has helped you
Step 2
Say if you are open to comments.
If so, people will raise their hand to offer help.
Step 3
Share something that you are looking forward to.
Meeting Rules:
- Confidentiality: What is shared in the meeting stays in the group.
- Active Listening: Listen attentively without interrupting others.
- Respect: Treat each participant with kindness, empathy, and respect.
- One Person Speaks at a Time: Avoid talking over each other.
