What we’re about

Well Proud Glasgow is the Glasgow social programme of LGBT Health and Wellbeing.

LGBT Health and Wellbeing is Scotland's health and wellbeing charity (SC034216) for LGBTQ+ adults. We provide support services and a programme of events in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and online, including a national helpline.

Who our events are for?

You have to be 16 and over to join to our events. If you are under 16, you can look for events and groups with our friends at LGBT Youth Scotland.

We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people, and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. This includes if you are questionning your sexuality or gender identity, or don't use labels for either.

Some of our events are open to the whole LGBTQ+ community and others are for specific sections of our community like trans people, older people, families, etc. We will make this clear in all events listings under 'who we welcome'.

How to join our events?

For most of our events, we ask that you register through Eventbrite which is our central booking system. RSVP on Meetup will not secure you a space, please use the Eventbrite booking links provided.

If no registration details are included, this means the event welcomes drop-ins.

For online events, we will either ask you to:

  • Register through Eventbrite or Zoom to get the access details.
  • Contact the event organiser through the contact details provided.

You can find out more information about our events here.

Safer spaces

All events are delivered under a safer spaces commitment. We ask everyone to follow our safer spaces commitment. Our staff and volunteers are here to support you if the space does not feel safe for you.

Read our guidelines and commitment to safer space before joining an event.

We welcome your feedback on our Safer Space Commitment, and are happy for you to ask any questions about it. Speak with staff or contact us by email at admin@lgbthealth.org.uk, or phone 0131 564 3970.

COVID-19

We know that not everyone feels totally comfortable at in-person events yet and that COVID-19 precautions still feel relevant to many in our community. With that in mind, we are continuing to have measures in place to reduce risk:

  • Face coverings are optional but we will support you if you wear one
  • Good ventilation in all indoor spaces
  • Hand sanitiser available
  • Distance Aware badges and lanyards available
