Wellstone Club Meeting

In addition to the reports and action items from club committees and task forces - please note that the petitions to place Prop 13 Reform on the ballot will be available for you to pick up and circulate, the main topic of the meeting will be a discussion of the Presidential Election with representatives of the Sanders and Warren campaigns and lots of time for discussion from the floor.

The Coordinating Committee is presenting a proposal that the Club jointly endorse Warren and Sanders. We will discuss and vote on this proposal.

In addition, the Coordinating Committee is presenting a Consent Agenda for the Club Endorsement of:

13th Congressional District: Congresswoman Barbara Lee
5th Supervisorial District: Supervisor Keith Carson
9th State Senate District: Senator Nancy Skinner
15th Assembly District: Assemblymember Buffy Wicks
18th Assembly District: Assemblymember Rob Bonta

Club members have had productive and cordial relationships with all of these legislators in advocating for issues that concern our club and community. None of them has any significant opposition.

Since filing for County Offices and the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee doesn’t close until mid December and the mix of candidates is still in flux, endorsement for those offices will take place at our January 23 Club Meeting.
