We Meet On Market Street - A Ladies Woodlands Area Club

I started this group (formerly “Woodlands Ladies”) when I moved here from Chicago mid-pandemic, desperately searching for gal pals. It worked… for a while. But, like most friendships, things fizzled once life went back to “normal.” That’s been the cycle since 2017: you go to a happy hour or brunch, meet some cool women, maybe hang out a few times, and then one day they move to Houston or disappear into suburb-mom life. Rinse & repeat.

I live in Spring, and I’m not driving an hour across Houston traffic just to grab a cocktail. Convenience is key. So it hit me this week: time for a rebrand. I’m over the same copy-paste “ladies groups” that exist just to soft-launch someone’s content creator career. Hot Girl Walks? Cute, but we don’t need to pretend walking is revolutionary. “Girls Who [fill in the blank]”? Pass. I’m a grown AF woman - let’s stop babying what it means to have a social life and making spin-off clubs that went viral in NYC. This ain't NY, ladies!

So what is this group? Simple: We Meet On Market Street. We’re not meeting anywhere else as a group EVER because I quite frankly don't want to drive any further. We’re doing Market Street things: shopping, live music, dinner, drinks, maybe a book swap in Central Park, or dipping our toes in the Hyatt pool during happy hour. Bi-weekly events guaranteed to keep it casual but consistent, leaving plenty of space for actual friendships to form outside of the official meetups.

If this sounds like your vibe, come through. It’s simple, it’s fun, it’s local. Let’s skip the gimmicks and build a supportive community for Woodlands Women to make friends AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!! have some fun without the pressures of work/relationships/kids/family/etc
