Tehachapi - Credit Card Tour

If you're up for a hard climb... Far off land. Leave your camping gear behind and bring your credit card. Book a warm hotel.

Saturday 45 miles (feels like 70 miles): Lonely desert riding. Lunch stop about 90 minutes from train station at Antelop Acres Market (excellent hamburgers). Lots of climbing. The SureStay is a nice hotel. Short walk to TKs Pizza & Pasta for dinner and breakfast is included!
Sunday 71 miles to Newhall (or 44 miles to Lancaster): I invite you to ride the 71 miles to Newhall. A lot of descending if you're up for getting more miles in. Places to eat in Green Valley. Metrolink station is in Newhall.
NOTE:
*Rain and snow will postpone this trip, so follow comments before reserving your room (week of).
*The ride up is harder than it looks (hence 10am start time).
*I recommend parking at Newhall station if you want to partially drive (DO NOT park at Lancaster station).
*Stores and restaurants are sparse in the desert. Be prepared.
*Tehachapi can freeze, so bring warm clothes.
