April Podcast Club Meet Up (virtual) - Chit-Chat & Q+A

Welcome to April's West Midlands Podcast Club meetup! This event will be online via Teams (more info below) and we have a session lined up for you (more info below).

All types of podcasters are welcome! This is a safe space to learn from each other and improve our podcasting skills together. This includes podcasters who are yet to launch, have recently started, and the more advanced who have been doing it for a while.

Not started a podcast? No problem, together we'll help you launch and overcome the obstacles in your way.

Not from the West Midlands or the UK? Again, no problem! This event is online meaning anyone from around the world can join. We're global baby!

Agenda

• 6.30pm - (virtual) doors open
• 6.40pm - 'Pod-Book Club'
• 7.25pm - break (get yourself a cuppa or something stronger e.g. beer...?)
• 7.35pm - challenges/questions?
• 8.05pm - accountability check-in
• 8.30pm - end: all good things must end, but we'll be back next month!

Pod-Book Club
Podcast Bob suggested starting a podcast-themed "book" club - an idea we all loved!

For our first meetup, we’ll discuss one of his episodes: The Interesting World of Dowsing from The Outdoors Podcast.

Listen to the episode beforehand and bring your questions - whether about the content, production, or the inspiration behind it.

How to join
Joining this online session is easy, just follow these steps:

1. Click 'Attend online'
2. You'll then be prompted to sign in to Meetup (if you aren't already)
3. Click the Airtable link in 'Online event'
4. You'll then be taken to a form
5. Fill in your details, and you'll be added to the email list
6. You'll receive an email shortly before the event is due to happen, with a link to Teams (usually 30mins before)
7. You only need to do step 6 once, once you're on our email list you'll automatically receive the link to join

Make sure to sign up in plenty time before the event, if you have issues, or don't receive the link to join you can reach out to us on Meetup.

We added additional security steps, as we had some issues in the past.
