Come along on a fascinating hike through (FDR) State Park in northern Westchester, just off the Taconic Parkway. We’ll cover approximately 4.5 to 5 miles over about 2.5 hours, exploring a mix of trails and open fields.
This may be the first time any of our local hiking groups features FDR State Park, so it’s a great opportunity to discover something new! We’ll be hiking at a slow to moderate pace, making this outing ideal for new hikers, those returning to the trails, or curious, experienced hikers looking for a fresh adventure. You may stay and swim. A huge Olympic-sized public pool is available- admission $3.
Meet at 10 AM in parking lot 1, immediately making the first left turn after entering the park. Restrooms available. Hike begins at 10:15 sharp. FREE admission for seniors during the week. Joint with AMC. Set GPS to FDR State Park, 2957 Crompond Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
