A 10-dollar admission fee. Bring a guest and chip in. Come along on a fascinating hike through FDR State Park in northern Westchester, just off the Taconic Parkway. We’ll cover approximately 5 miles, exploring a mix of trails and open fields. The trails are easy and the hills are not very high. Consider this a mild hike and very suitable for beginners. Scenery throughout is excellent. Bring lunch or a snack. You may stay and swim. A huge Olympic-sized public pool is available- admission $3. No dogs. No public transportation.
Meet at 10 AM in parking lot 1. If taking the Taconic, you will exit at Exit 16, which will immediately take you into the park by parking lot 1 on the left. Hike begins at 10:15 sharp. Joint with AMC. Set GPS to FDR State Park, 2957 Crompond Rd., Yorktown Heights, NY 10598
