Breakneck Point Trail Running 1/2 Marathon
Details
Not a beginner/relaxed pace hike
This is a planned hike to survey the official track. If only trail runners or no one attends, it will convert to a trail run.
The hike starts on an unmarked road that connects to the blue Notch trail. From there we climb the no name mountain, past the side of Sugarloaf, and up over Breakneck Ridge. Upon reaching the Undercliff trail the hike continues down to the blue Cornish trail ending at the Washburn parking lot. Then we continue up and over the Western side of Bull Hill. From there the hike course climbs the back/Eastern side of Breakneck Ridge. With a few more ups and downs the final leg of the half marathon is mostly down hill back to the parking lot. The official water refiling location is at the Washburn parking area. Water can be stashed here sometime before the event.
