You are invited to join us for a 9-mile moderately strenuous hike, which will take about 6 hours. Several ups and downs including a few longer, sustained climbs. The hike takes us up a steep gravel road for about 2 miles to some ruins and great photo ops. After climbing an additional .4 miles, we will reach a fire tower. While there, you can climb up the tower for some breathtaking views of the Catskills. A side trail near a caretaker’s cottage offers beautiful views of the Hudson Valley. Next, we will head back down .4 miles to the (B) Overlook Trail then 2.1 to Echo Lake. The plan is to have lunch at Echo Lake. We will head back to the cars on the same trails. Peak foliage may have passed, but views will still be there.

We will meet at 355 Meads Mountain Road, Woodstock, NY (42.071009, -74.122678) and leave promptly at 8:30. Karma Triyana Dharmachakra is across the street- do not park there. This parking lot fills up quickly. There is parking further down the road, if needed. Make sure you read and obey the parking signs.
