Macedonia State Park Loop

You are invited to join us for a difficult 10-mile hike with about 2000-feet elevation gain. This hike will take about 6 hours.
We will meet at 8:45 for a prompt 9:00 AM departure; at Macedonia State Park, 159 Macedonia Brook Rd., Kent, CT 06757. GPS: 41.766822, -73.495629.
Macedonia is said to have some of the most difficult trails in CT which will include some steep sections. In addition to some sustained climbs, we will have a road walk, a bushwhack and backtracking on some trails to get in additional mileage and elevation. We may also encounter a steep, rocky scramble.

Bring appropriate gear including a light/headlamp, micro-spikes, food, and water. Review/bring your map to be aware of topography and our location.

If Unable to Attend: Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, so people on the waitlist can attend. If on the day of the event, you cannot make it, please take your name off the going list. Not attending hikers will be marked as “No-Show.” People with multiple “No-Show” will not be allowed on future hikes. Thanks....
