Beginner Event -Rockefeller State Park via the Old Croton Aqueduct

I know many of you enjoy history - Did you know that to the best of my knowledge, we are the ONLY AREA meetup group that has offered hikes for all levels for almost 15 years? No confusing letter systems needed - in fact to the best of my knowledge we are the only area group to graduate beginner hikers to advanced hiker in RECORD time. Could this be you in 2026?

Estimated Distance -Depending on the final configuration of the group anywhere between 5 and 6 miles.

Beginner Hike - No major elevation here -at the same time -you do need to be comfortable walking for 5-6 miles in just under 3 hrs

Meetup Location - Sleepy Hollow HS Parking lot - rear of building -close
to Route 448 -by the ballfields

Directions: Take I-287 (Cross Westchester Expwy ) to Exit 1 (Rt. 119). At Exit turn right (Rt. 119 West) and follow to end (Rt. 9). Turn right on Rt. 9 (heading North); proceed approx. 1½ miles; the school is on right. From the North: Take Sawmill to Pleasantville exit, go left onto 117 and follow to route 9 South. Enter village and you will see High School on left and make a left to approach H.S. Once in the school driveway, bear left and follow to the top of the hill and turn left again.
