Details
You are invited to join us for a moderate 7-mile hike with about 1600-feet elevation gain. This hike will take about 5 hours. Ice thickness permitting this hike will be about 2 miles on the lakes and 5 miles on trails.
We will meet at 8:45 for a prompt 9:00 AM departure; Lake Sebago Boat Launch, Seven Lakes Dr, Sloatsburg, NY 10970. GPS: 41.19779, -74.12937.
Trail conditions lately have been challenging. I will personally be bringing traction device including snowshoes.
Ice thickness will decide the route. Permitting we will cross Lake Sebago to the view point at (Y) Triangle trail. We will continue north to Lake Skenonto where we will continue on the lake to the northern viewpoint of the lake to pick up (B) Victory trail to the Historic Fireplace. Continue west on the (R) RD to (Y) Triangle. Upon reaching Camp Nawakwa once again we will cross Lake Sebago to the cars.
The alternative would be (R) TMI to (W) White Bar south to (W) Kakiat east to (R) TMI back to cars.
