THIS IS -ONE OF MY TOP TEN HIKES THAT I OFFER

To the Best of My Knowledge - WE ARE THE ONLY AREA GROUP THAT HAS FEATURED THIS HIKE FOR 10 plus years

if you are new to the group within the last 2-3 years - you SHOULD sign up for this one despite the all-day commitment.

Having said that -you still need to be someone who can handle our typical Saturday pace with distance of 8plus miles and elevation gain above 2000 ft

Location - CT/MA border - about 100 min from Mt. Kisco

If there is interest, I can try to put carpools together either out of Westchester or Putnam -either off 684 - off the Taconic - or route 22 in Brewster

Estimated Distance - 8.99 plus miles -likley a 10-11 mile day

End time is just an estimate - I am not looking to do this one at a lightning pace - there are a number of places where you want to stop and take in the falls and/or the views.

At the same time, this will be a physical hike - likely 10 miles and over 2000 feet elevation gain for the day

My guess is we will be done somewhere between 3 and 345

Likely between 12 and 18 -unless part of a carpool

Everyone starts on the waitlist - Reliability is key for this one.

Please do not sign up for this event if you need to be off trail at an exact time or if you do not wish to be part of a brief carpool.

Note: - This is a Car shuttle hike - We will meet at the Mt Riga lot on Undermountain Road - We will leave some cars there and drive 15 minutes on Route 41 going north to the Race brook area
