Harriman AT Elk Pen Loop to Long Path Bradley Mine

You are invited to join us for a moderate to difficult 14-mile hike with about 3000 elevation gain. This hike will take about 7 hours. An early out of 8 miles is available to those who leave the hike and proceed on their own.
We will meet at 8:15 for a prompt 8:30 AM departure; at Elk Pen Parking, 1010 Arden Valley Rd, Southfields, NY 10975. GPS: 41.26487, -74.15440.
We will take the AT for two miles, a steady climb up Green Pond Mountain. Will continue past the Lemon Squeeze heading south on the (R) A-SB to the (W) White Bar to (Y) Dunning to head north on (R) RD AT. Near Stockbridge Mountain at the intersection of the AT we will head west on an unmarked trail to the Long Path to head south. When we reach the (R) A-SB we will continue to the AT to Elk Pen.

If Unable to Attend: Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, so people on the waitlist can attend. If on the day of the event, you cannot make it, please take your name off the going list. Not attending hikers will be marked as “No-Show.” People with multiple “No-Show” will not be allowed on future hikes. Thanks....
