Cat Rocks Hike

So far in 2026 - I have done my best to extend the Weekend hikes in order to offer the most variety that I can.

(I mean HOW MANY times in a year can you do Butler on a weekend?)

This is one that is about a 37 minute drive from Mount Kisco

Estimated Distance - 7.5 miles - Out N Back hike on the AT.

This is not a beginner event - there is one nice size up to Cats Rock

We will be meet at the Metro-North Railroad Appalachian Station parking 975 NY 22, Pawling NY 12564. GPS: 41.59267, -73.58780

There is also a very large parking area just north on Route 22 -both sides of the road - I will likely start from there and walk down to the small Metro North pull off lot and the AT

We will start on a long boardwalk, enter a hardwood forest and climb Corbin Hill, pass the Dover Oak and climb up West Mountain to Cat Rocks, a place to relax and view endless panoramas.

First spots always go to the regulars - and if you are passed over on the wait list - it means one of three things - you did not check in with me - your prior attendance record indicates you are likely to either drop off or no show -or my spies have provided me with evidence that you have double booked

I am thrilled you have multiple meetup choices -you should -just remember -if you book yourself in multiple groups and then bail at the last minute -you are likely taking away a spot from someone else - and organizers notice
